Understanding the world
In the first months, a baby is busy getting to know their environment. Noises, light, smells and colours – everything is new to a baby.
They soon learn to comprehend the world around them: holding, observing, putting everything in their mouths – A baby explores their surroundings with all their senses. At first, they discover their own hands, then they hold on tight to light objects that you place in their hands. Anything that makes a noise when you move it is especially exciting. The child observes their surroundings attentively: they familiarise themselves with their environment and recognise things again: this „recognition“ is important for the development of trust: this sense of basic trust gives the child confidence to continue discovering the world around them...
